Radical healing
Ancestral sounds
Ceremony, mysticism, jazz, and classical
DYAD fuses influences from contemporary classical and spiritual jazz into cinema landscapes at times ethereal, other times raw and forceful, each sonic journey is inspired by the stages on our collective evolution channeled music representing cellist Kymani Thomas’ Afro-Indigenous heritage and spiritual connection to their ancestral’s voices and songs.
Created in 2020, DYAD released their first EP Kind Lightning in 2021, followed by singles “Solstice” in early 2022, Hilo (2024) and Libélula (2024), their first collaboration with harpist La Del Arpa and producer Kevs Martin.
